With more than 43 spoken languages and families from all over the globe, Stillwater Public Schools students celebrate many different holidays, customs, and activities. This space will be used to help educate the community about some of the celebrations students may be celebrating.

Krishna Janmashtami
An annual Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It typically occurs in August or September.

Labor Day
Labor Day, which celebrates the American labor movement and workers, occurs on the first Monday of each September.

9/11 Day
In remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93.

Rosh Hashanah, the Ten Days of Repentance, and Yom Kippur
In the Jewish faith, the Ten Days of Repentance begin with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins on the evening of Friday, September 15 and ends on the evening of Sunday, September 17. In 2023, this period begins on the evening of 9/15 and ends the evening of 9/25

Celebrated in Oklahoma on the second Tuesday of October. Indigenous Peoples' Day honors and celebrates the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Native American peoples.
