From February 6-March 7, 2025, SPS Transportation has invited select users across the district to participate in a trial of MyRide K-12. During this time, alerts and notifications to users may not function in an optimized manner.
Using data and user feedback gathered from this trial, SPS will implement any needed modifications to procedures from March 10-21. On Monday, March 24, the MyRide K-12 will be announced district-wide for all bus rider famillies to access.
-
My Ride K12 allows parents and guardians of bus riders to access their school bus information, including bus pickup and dropoff times, and users of the My Ride K12 app will be able to receive notifications directly to their mobile device.
SPS is conducting a trial from February 5-March 14. We’ll also ask, during the first week of March, for feedback from those who participate in the trial. Using data from the trial and user feedback and to ensure a smooth rollout for all families, SPS will implement any needed modifications to procedures and communications during spring break. The MyRide K-12 will be announced district-wide for all bus rider families to access beginning on Monday, March 24.
Instructions on accessing My Ride:
You’ll need to visit https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/ to access SPS’s information on a desktop, or download the mobile app via links on that page. If you opt to use the mobile app, please be certain to select the correct Stillwater. We’re the blue S logo. Stillwater, MN is the red pony.
You’ll also need your child’s unique Student Number. Available when you are logged into the Infinite Campus parent portal at https://campus.stillwaterschools.com/campus/portal/stillwater.jsp
Please know that during the trial, alerts and notifications to users may be less accurate while our drivers and staff learn how to best optimize the MyRide app, procedures, and processes.
The addition of this app does not change anything about student bus procedures, policies, or behavior. Please remember that students:
-
are still expected to be at the stop and ready at least 5 minutes early. This is for student safety, so they are not running to the bus or running across a street at the last minute.
-
that do not ride on a regular basis will be removed from the bus route. Our intention is to provide service to students that rely on the bus as their primary transportation to or from school.
-
are expected to ride to and from their assigned stop only. Students not at their assigned stop for any reason will be refused service. Students not assigned to a bus will be refused service.
We appreciate your participation in the trial and your upcoming feedback. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Matt Parsel
