Mission of Maintenance

Our mission is to ensure the reliability, safety, and functionality of all district facilities through proactive maintenance and responsive service. The Maintenance Department is dedicated to preserving the integrity of school buildings and infrastructure to support uninterrupted teaching and learning. Through skilled craftsmanship, preventive care, and a commitment to operational excellence, we strive to create environments where students and staff can thrive.




Primary Areas of Focus

Ceilings, Walls, and Floors
- Repair and maintenance of interior and exterior tiles
- Repair and replacement of acoustical ceiling tiles
- Repair of moldings, baseboards, and weather stripping
- Maintenance and repair of roofs, gutters, downspouts
- Maintenance of window functions (hardware and glass)
- Flooring maintenance to stop fraying, tearing, loosening
- Installation of wall-mounted shelves, bulletin, and dry-erase boards

Electrical
- Repair and maintain components such as breakers, panels, switches, plugs
- Replacement of burned out lamps, bulbs and/or ballasts
- Replace broken switches, receptacles, wall plates, etc.

Heating and Cooling
- Responding to reports of inadequate room temperature
- Repair of HVAC units
- Calibrate thermostats, sensors, etc.
- Changing air filters
- Cleaning coils

Locksmith
- Repair of existing doors, doorstops, and hinges
- Repair and managment of access control

Painting
- Touchup of main hallways, handrails, moldings, doors, etc.
- Painting building interiors at the end of their useful life

Plumbing
- Repair and maintain plumbing components
- Repair and maintain drains and fixtures, including water fountains
- Toilet, sink and faucet repairs

School Nutrition Equipment
- Repairs to School Nutrition equipment as needed
