SPS Summer Academy and other summer programs are open to all SPS students, but the district will reserve space for those who could most benefit from the Summer Academies.
- Transportation will be provided by the district to and from the Summer Academies. It is not available for summer camps.
- All SPS Summer Academies are free to participants.

Summer Device Support
For any students or staff who encounter issues with their district-issued chromebook over the summer, the Technology Department will provide a limited in-person "Helpdesk" to facilitate device triage and replacement. This Helpdesk will be available at SHS most Wednesdays,12-3pm. Support is offered by appointment only; please complete this form to reserve a time.

OSU Academic Camps

Automation and Robotics Discovery
Grades 6-8. Students will have the opportunity to engineer and program robots. Be part of a “pit crew” and build epic remote-controlled robots, then learn how to program it to run autonomously.

CEAT Discovery Days
High School students have the opportunity to explore various engineering disciplines through activities and presentations. Discovery Days are held on Fridays in June and July from 8:30am - 4:30pm at the OSU Stillwater Campus.

Cowboy Music Camp
A six-day intensive musical experience, the Cowboy Music Camp offers high school students (Incoming 9th-12th graders) the opportunity to study their instruments in a comprehensive collegiate setting.

Discover Architecture
June 26-29. This workshop is open to high school students who are interested in exploring careers in architecture and architectural engineering.

Engineering Adventure
Grades K-5. Students will learn Engineering Design Principles with interactive and fun project based hands-on learning STEM activities. Registration includes refreshments, all STEM supplies and a t-shirt.

Engineering Discovery for Girls
Grades 9-12. Enjoy a week of learning, hands-on activities, highlighting amazing engineering projects, group problem solving and networking with your fellow friends and peers.

Engineering Exploration
Grades 6-8. Students will explore the Engineering Design Process, Engineering Disciplines, and complete daily challenges to promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Registration will include lunches, refreshments, and run 8:30am - 4:30pm each day.

Fire Protection Discovery
Grades 9-12. Apply engineering principles to design systems for safe evacuations and to detect and suppress a fire while using hands-on learning for “Burn to Learn - The Engineering Systems to Keep it Safe”.

National Summer Transportation Institute
Registration includes morning refreshments, lunch, all STEM supplies, and a shirt.

Reading Readiness Camp
The Reading Readiness Camp is intended to foster a love for reading among young school-going children through hands-on, fun learning activities. Campers will be engaged in small group instruction that focuses on developing their confidence for reading in a supportive environment.

Sports Media Camp
Ages 16+. Offers practical experience in broadcasting play-by-play, production, and print journalism with experienced professionals such as Dave Hunziker, the voice of the OSU Cowboys.

STEM in Oklahoma
Grades 6-8. Students will have the opportunity to learn in real-time with engineers from Baker Hughes, FSB, OSU and many more from the OKC community. They will be participating in a series of STEM projects and creating great connections in the process.

Equestrian Camps
Grades 9-12. Multiple sessions in April, May, and June. Camp includes riding instruction, film review, strength and conditioning, and important information on being a collegiate athlete.

Nike Tennis Camp at OSU
Ages 6-18. 3 options: June 2-5, June 2-8, June 5-8. All sessions are open to players of all abilities. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

Camp Book It!
June - August - Camp BOOK IT! is open to all families with PreK-6th grade students (ages 4-12). Parents set goals, track reading and reward their students, all in a digital dashboard. Sponsored by Pizza Hut.

Camp Colvin at OSU
For ages 6-11, Camp Colvin is a fun and exciting youth camp full of activities, sports and discovering wellness! This camp provides a welcoming environment for your camper to engage and grow among other school-aged children through hands-on activities. Campers will take part in small group activities that focus on enhancing their social interaction and allow for experiences such as indoor rock climbing, team building games and swimming with friends in our outdoor pool. Camps will run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Dancing Turtle Festival Activities
In its second year, this interactive arts festival will have activities for kids, including a two Rock Academy for ages 11-15.

Girls Scouts - Sylvia Stapley Day Camp
"Girl Scouts will embark on an adventure of astronomical proportions during day camp 2024! On a solar-powered journey through the cosmos, campers will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of the universe! Girl Scouts must have completed Kindergarten to attend day camp and must be registered members."

Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Summer Academies
OSSM Summer Academies are one- and two-week residential academic enrichment camps for high school-aged students who are interested in science and math. Campers attend STEM classes taught by nationally renowned faculty and take part in fun afternoon field trips and evening activities. The 2024 camps will be held July 15-19 and July 22-26. Registration will open in March.

Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute
An intensive 2-week residential program at Quartz Mountain that provides professional training to artistically advanced Oklahoma HS students, including graduating seniors, in the visual, literary, and performing arts. Applications typically due in mid-February.
